Next on our clearly non-geographically plausible roadtrip:
Austin, Texas.

I've always been intrigued by Austin - the music scene, its cool vibe and how unlike Dallas it's supposedly is. I've never been to Texas, but when I do go, I'm hoping it will be to Austin.
Here we have a "Vintage French Provencial Coffee Table" for a cool $40 in N. Central Austin.

This table has pretty lines and actually has 2 planters built into it! For some reason, I've been into succulents lately - probably because I live in a place that is inhospitable to my favorite ferns and mosses - so I'd definitely fill those with interesting deserty plants.
This is so predictable of me, but I'd really want this table to look like it's been through a lot; maybe because it looks so fussy and...French Provencial. I'd sand it down a ton, apply a brown wash and then a green one and then distress the living daylights out of it. I might even whack it with a hammer in a couple places to make some dents and scratches.
It would look like this:

...but hopefully more like this...

Here are some images of the succulent arrangements and combinations that I'd shamelessly attempt to copy:

And there you have it.

so pretty! i love succulents too. although i didn't even know what they were until this spring. whooops.
